It was a lot of work to update the house! But we are so grateful for the wonderful help of our amazing family! We painted everything!! Inside, outside, ceilings (after popcorn was scraped), doors, baseboards, EVERYTHING!!! We totaled 43 gallons of paint and primer used on the house. We had almost all of the flooring ripped out and replaced!! New carpet, replaced vinyl in the bathrooms w tile, added tile to the walls, new vanity cabinets, granite counters, sinks, new mirrors, new lights, new faucets, towel bars, new toilets, and the list goes on and on! We added 6 ceiling fans (1 in each of the 5 bedrooms and 1 in the nook), and still ended up adding central AC. Wow! It was all so worth it!
We are so happy and comfortable in our new home! We have awesome neighbors who were very pleased with the update of the home.
The project we are still working on is the backyard. Wow, plants and trees are so much work! Everything was so over grown when we moved in! We removed about 40 potted plants and 30 cement paver tiles (free ads on Craigslist). Now we are trying to thicken the grass, trim the trees and make the space move livable! Gavin is sure enjoying riding his scooter on the patio!! Well, time to go add more grass seeds to the bare spots!
